Having worked at a school now for just about 11 months, I can tell you first-hand that it definitely has its ups and downs. Right now is a big up, I actually get a few days off since it's Holy Week. But this is on the heels of almost 2 weeks solid of meetings and events.
The most chaotic event of the past 2 weeks, by far, was our annual alumni children's Easter egg hunt last Sunday. We had just over 500 people there, pure madness!! AND not just one, but twin bunnies!
Earlier in the week, the dads hosted a different type of fundraiser, an Elvis impersonator. Needless to say, we were the youngest in the crowd! Between this and the egg hunt, I've realized how much of a trooper Rog really is.
But our business wasn't entirely work related. Last Sunday caught up with the Redbird women's basketball team and watched them win the Valley championship game and earn a spot in the NCAA tournament. They played the tournament this year at an arena that's about 3 miles from our house, doesn't get much more convenient than that. For as much as I liked my old job, it's much more fun being in the crowd than working these kind of events... but then again I don't have the "in" with Reggie for a picture.
