Two Times the Shower

Let the games begin ... baby shower numero uno, and dos if we go strictly by the number of babies involved, done.

This weekend's field trip took me across the river into Illinois for Erica's twin shower. It's unbelievalbe how many diapers, wipes and clothes she already has from another shower ... and that those thousands of diapers and wipes will only last about 2 months!!

Erica has been on what I consider to be a glorified house arrest for the last 3-4 weeks since the boy is not growing quite as quickly as the girl. She can work from home, but has been advised to keep outside trips to a minimum. All I can say is - if I ever have 2 kids in me, I hope I look as good as she does for 7 months!

Since we hadn't seen her for a while, Jackie B. and Erica's co-worker Carla and I went to have a slumber party at her house on Friday. Rather than renting the movie, we decided she was definitely well enough to head out to see Sex and the City with us and grab some Mexican on our way. And by the way, the movie was awesome!

After getting back to her house that night, around 11, she broke out the Wii and kept us up until 1:45! And she woke up early the next morning. I think I'm the one needing bed rest now.
