In honor of the "holiday," Dream modeled her new Mardi Gras hat that her biological grandma, Mimi (pic below), had delivered on Wednesday. Mimi's family fostered Dream before we adopted her.

DeHart-Henning
Heather Jeanne Henning and Roger Eugene DeHart, both of St. Louis, were married at 5:30 p.m. Sept. 3, 2006, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Sherman by the Rev. James Stuenkel.
The bride is the daughter of Lawrence and Holly Buhr of Athens and the late Robert Henning. The groom is the son of Roger and Linda DeHart of Chatham.
Serving as maid of honor was Heidi Henning. Bridesmaids were Heather Milstead, Kristy Brown and Sarah Hohm. Flower girl was Kari Kiefer.
Best man was Brian Manci. Groomsmen were Robert DeHart, Garrick Williams and Robert Briney. Usher was Jason Traughber.
A reception was held at the Crowne Plaza.
The bride is a 1996 graduate of Athens High School and received her Bachelor of Science in 2000 and Master of Science in 2002 from Illinois State University. She is employed with O'Connor & Partners Inc. The groom is a 1998 graduate of Chatham Glenwood High School and received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Illinois at Springfield in 2003. He is employed with Harrah's St. Louis Hotel and Casino.
The couple resides in St. Louis.
We find out Tuesday if the deal we struck last weekend will actually happen, after Rog and the realtor have a date with the building inspector. Barring any major structural issues, we should close at the end of February with only comestic updates to do - you'll see that some of the bedrooms need a new coat of paint :).
DEFINITELY a step up for us, going from a two-bedroom, 850 square-foot apartment with no kitchen space or yard to a four-bedroom, 2,300 square-foot house with a big kitchen and fenced yard. We'll have a full unfinished basement that we plan on building out as a bar (hopefully with shuffleboard) and a war room. But that's down the road ... first priority is painting a few rooms and getting some furniture.
Kinda wierd... the people who are selling the house were relocated to Slidell, about a half hour away from New Orleans.
