Fergalicious Weekend

Memorial Day weekend was packed pretty solid with a few BBQs here and a quick trip home for my uncle's 70th birthday.

One of the BBQs was actually a baby shower/BBQ/a reason for everyone to get together and have cocktails, and even though it was NOT 83 like the forecast said it would be (and I of course dressed for), it was one of the more fun "showers" I've been to. Liam is due to arrive at the end of July/early August.

Sunday we drove through hail, high water and a storm that wouldn't quit until we got about 30 miles in to Illinois on our way to Uncle Don's 70th birthday party. Getting together with my dad's side is always an adventure ...

Apparently Don saw Fergie doing carwheels in stilletos on the Today show, did some research and is now quite the fan. He's even trying to recruit people to go with him to her show when she's in Springfield in August. Rich and his wife hooked him up with a new CD, which we had to listen to the rest of the night ... I don't know about getting old.

We stayed with mom and Larry on Sunday night before heading back Monday morning. Realized we hadn't been there since Thanksgiving, and that we really need to be a little better about that!
